Award

Every year, the Bavarian State Minister presents five awards to outstanding engineering graduates from Bavarian universities recognising their exceptional university degrees or dissertations. The awards are endowed with 2,000 € each.

Selection procedure

Bavarian universities as well as the universities of applied sciences and technical colleges are entitled to nominate candidates. Two selection panels at Hochschule Bayern e. V. (Association of Bavarian Universities of Applied Sciences) and Universität Bayern e. V. (Association of Bavarian Universities) select suitable candidates from the nominations submitted. The final decision is made by the State Minister of Science and the Arts.
